The River City Men’s Chorus of Jacksonville is an all voluntary men’s chorus that shares not only a passion for choral music, we also have a deep desire for helping others less fortunate through the power of choral music and the financial support of our magnificent audiences.
Now in our sixth season, the 2015 River City Men’s Chorus Season will benefit Community PedsCare, who currently provides care to over 150 children in the First Coast battling life-limiting or terminal diseases. 100% of the funds raised during this concert series will be donated to this pediatric program at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. All proceeds from our four concerts last summer were donated to Dreams Come True, Jacksonville’s nonprofit organization devoted to granting the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses. Past recipients have included: Tom Coughlin’s Jay Fund, the Child Life Program at the Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Beads of Courage at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and In The Pink.
Our season stretches from May to August and during that time we participate in eight rehearsals and four concerts.
We are proud to announce that during the past five seasons, River City Men’s Chorus have donated over $35,000 to local charitable organizations.
Auditions are held each year and male singers with past choral experience are encouraged to audition. Contact Wayne Bailey at [email protected] for more information
